Mystical Lapland Forest
Step away from the rush of everyday life and immerse yourself in the calming silence of the forest, or spend an active and memorable day together with the whole family.
Mystical Lapland Forest is an approximately 200-metre-long experiential trail, beautifully illuminated with rich, atmospheric and highly photogenic light installations and scenes. The trail guides visitors through a snowy landscape where you can pause, breathe in some of the purest air in the world, and feel the powerful presence of nature all around you.
Along the route, you’ll find a long, illuminated sledding hill that offers plenty of excitement for both adults and children. At the top of the hill, there are several well-equipped and atmospheric campfire spots, where you can enjoy hot drinks and prepare food while sitting warmly on reindeer furs.
Mystical Lapland Forest offers a moment for grounding, relaxation, and connection with nature. There is no time limit on the trail, so you are free to spend exactly as much time as you wish.
The whole family can enjoy sledding down the long slope through the forest, with sleds available for free use.
Tickets can be booked daily for visits between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM. We are open according to reservations. Please note that all visitors must leave the area by 8:00 PM.
Outside of opening hours, it is possible to book a private lean-to shelter (laavu) for exclusive use.

Driving instructions
Ounasjoen itäpuolentie 828, Rovaniemi
The activity is located approximately 14 km from Rovaniemi.
Start from Rovaniemi city center and head towards the Ivalo / Kemijärvi / Airport ramp.
Enter the ramp and continue straight for 1.3 km.
Take the exit towards Kuusamo / Saarenkylä / Meltauks and continue for 350 m.
Turn left onto Kuusamontie / Route 81.
Continue on this road for 8.4 km.
Turn right — at the junction you will see a wooden sign with an arrow saying “Mystical Lapland Forest.”
Continue for 1.5 km.
